In celebration of the 40th anniversary of David Bowie’s legendary Let’s Dance album and our BOWIE® x MOTHER capsule launch, we threw a cocktail party at London’s Caviar Kaspia. The MOTHERship co-founders, Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, brought together an eclectic mix of editors, influencers, models and tastemakers from London's music and fashion scene to indulge in cocktails and canapes at the Mayfair townhouse.
But the stars truly aligned when Alison Mosshart and Jack Lawrence, the lead vocalist and bass guitarist of The Dead Weather, took to the stage to perform an exclusive electro-acoustic set of David Bowie covers. The duo, who flew in from Los Angeles and Nashville respectively, transported the audience to an otherworldly dimension with their mesmerizing renditions. British model and DJ Lady Mary Charteris then took over the turntables, putting her own spin on the night. It was an event that transcended the boundaries of both music and fashion, and truly embodied the essence of the Starman himself.
